Per Ms. Sheila- the pecan trees are blooming and that can only mean one thing...we won't be freezing again until fall...if ever. heh. With that go-ahead, I've been getting all of the plants which survived the winter with me situated outside, repotted if necessary, you know- the works. & this is by far the quickest means of taking notes...
- I have VERY green thumbs when it comes to growing Arrowhead Vines (Synogonium). I currently have a regular type growing in a hanging planter, a very happy 'Pink Allusion' variety overgrowing its modest container, and two cuttings rooted in water- one several times the size of the other. Since the hanging basket is comparatively sparse, I plan to add the rooted cuttings to it as a way to fill out the space.
- When fall of 2017 was fast approaching, I took a cutting from the Coleus I had grown from a leaf cutting the Spring prior. I had it rooting in water since then. I trimmed off the lowermost leaves and planted in a fairly small pot for regrowth.
- Planted two rooted leaf cuttings of Codiaeum variegata 'Mamey' in one planter.
- Aglaeonema aka 'Chinese Evergreen' cuttings rooted and thriving in the 3 separate bottles indoors, transplanted one of the two 'Silver Queen' specimens and 1 regular to individual containers.
- In an attempt to save the beloved Blueberry bush from inevitable destruction at the hands of an invasive vine that has proven indestructible, took 4 softwood cuttings and will try to root them to create clones.
- Transplanted Brugmansia 'Angel Trumpet' given to me last fall from Ms. Robyn to a pot the next size up as suggested in article.
- Transplanted Philodendron Selloum to pot next size up.
